A small jewelry shop, Sundara, was in need of an e-commerce website to complement its presence on Etsy.com and to accommodate its medium volume sales. The website was part of a campaign to brand the designer’s yoga-inspired jewelry.
The client required a platform that would allow her to maintain the online store herself and to collect payments via PayPal. Service included selection of a suitable commercial, responsive WordPress theme (Gather), customization of the theme by editing CSS and by utilizing built-in customization options, and installation of WooCommerce plugin as the e-commerce solution.
Later on, the client sought to expand the scope of the website by adding two areas of activity on top of e-commerce. The website was then restructured. A new home page was created to showcase all three areas of activity, and the e-commerce aspect of the site was moved from its initially dominant location to the interior of the website. The changes were reflected in the site’s navigation.
